Jep jep, mijn vertrekdatum is nu wel erg dichtbij aan het komen ! Er resten mij nog welgeteld 11 dagen hier in Campina Grande. 11 dagen om het centrum af te lopen op zoek naar cadeautjes die niet te veel gewicht dragen & nog 7 dagen om te genieten van São Joao in Parque do Povo (u leest hierover straks meer)
Overal waar ik mijn gezicht toon, word ik geconfronteerd met het feit dat ik heel binnenkort zal moeten vertrekken. " ’t Is dichtbij aan het komen, is het niet Jolien?” Mijn antwoord hierop is dan telkens : “ gelieve hier niet over te praten, ik denk daar liever zo weinig mogelijk aan.”
In deze bijna 11 maanden Brazilië heb ik ongelofelijk veel bijgeleerd. Ik heb geleerd mijn mannetje te staan in situaties waar ik anders meteen de mama of de papa voor nodig had. Maar iedereen mag gerust weten dat ik ook voor situaties heb gestaan waar ik tochwel de hulp van mijn mama en papa kon gebruiken. Via internet is dat wel niet altijd even gemakkelijk geweest, maar uiteindelijk kwam alles toch wel op zijn pootjes terecht, nietwaar mamie&papie? En jullie weten dat ik jullie hier eeuwig zal voor dankbaar zijn!
Ik heb nieuwe mensen leren kennen, een nieuwe taal geleerd, leren mijn eigen kleren wassen & strijken(joan joan, kzien nie oant zeveren nu!), leren helpen in het huishouden, geleerd af en toe mijn mond dicht te houden wanneer ik toch zo graag mijn gedacht had gezegd, …
Ik ben tijdens mijn AFS-jaar ook enorm toegegroeid naar mijn familie. Ik kan nu al zeggen dat ik ontzettend veel heimwee zal hebben naar hen, maar ik weet ook dat ik zeker terugkeer, dus dit zal mijn vertrek misschien wat minder moeilijk maken.
Jullie zijn waarschijnlijk wel benieuwd om te weten hoe de eerste paar weken (in mijn geval weekends) van São Joao zijn geweest, niet? Wel beste snuiters, iedere vrijdag en zaterdag ist dikke fjeeste wi zeg! De gentse feesten zijn tof, maar São Joao heeft de Gentse feesten toch wel overtroffen! Overal wordt er gedanst, gedronken, gegeten, gelachen, leute gemaakt, … ‘t Is echt fantastisch! Ik mag echt van geluk spreken dat ik pas vertrek na São Joao, want dit is inderdaad één van de beste periodes van het jaar hier in Campina Grande! En ons restaurant maakt nu natuurlijk ook goede zaken, want het zit hier voor de moment zwart van de toeristen! Mensen van Rio, Salvador, Recife, Joao Pessoa die allemaal espres naar Campina Grande komen om São Joao te vieren. En hun maagjes vullen doen ze dan uiteraard in Restaurante Tuxa!
Ik zal het hierbij laten snollies.
Nog even ter info: mijn vliegtuig landt zondag 6 juli omstreeks 7u30 in Zaventem!
